Abstract

At the moment of their creation, computational devices and software capture a “snapshot” of contemporary desires, philosophies, and paradigms. As the technology has developed and evolved over the last several decades, the historical detritus of embedded design and compromise has piled up underfoot like strata of fossilized bones.
